Silent Voices
A series of work contemplating on the meaning of womanhood. Growing as a woman anatomically spiritually simultaneously with nature while existing in a manmade society.
Let Me Dance
This piece portrays the desire to live through the divine feminine, connected to nature yet conflicted with the harshness of this society we live in and the constant grind. The leaves are arranged in a way that creates a sense of movement and life, as if they are an extension of the figure's own energy.
Wendy
This striking painting features the torso of a woman. The skin is a rich, golden brown, and the white flower that serves as the figure's head is a stunning contrast to the bold colors of the torso and presents the question of absence and a sadness. The woman is surrounded by a halo of soft, ethereal light, giving it a sense of otherworldliness.
Hiding
Dreams of Wroclaw
This is the first painting Ewa Maria started in this series. Her love for Sunflowers comes from the time when she lived in Poland. This period was critical for Ewa Maria's artistic development. It was in Poland, where she started questioning womanhood and the generations of women that came before her.
In times of loneliness and confusions she found solace in the little towns filled with sunflowers.
